Feature request: builder agents that can manage and update other agents and skills
Hello !! 👋 Im losing more and more time editing and improving my agents and would like a new feature to help : Feature request: Builder agents I would like Dust to support builder agents: agents that can manage and update other agents and skills, within the permissions of the user who created them. The builder agent should be able to:
Read an agent’s configuration.
Modify its prompt.
Add or remove tools and skills.
Run the agent to test its behavior.
Modify skills as well.
Create new agents, if the user has the required permissions.
Manage multiple agents that work together.
All actions should respect the user’s existing Dust credentials and permissions. In other words, the builder agent should only be able to edit or run agents and skills for which the user is an owner or editor. This would combine the current agent execution workflow with the Sidekick editing experience. Today, when I want to improve an agent, I have to run the agent, ask it what needs to be changed, then manually open its configuration and use Sidekick to apply the changes. A builder agent would merge these steps into a single workflow, significantly reducing back-and-forth and making it easier to manage complex systems composed of multiple agents. Happy to discuss it over a meet if needed Thanks 🙂
