Processing Multiple Files in DustApp with LLM and CURL Requests

How to process a file in a DustApp? I would like to send multiple files to DustApp and have them processed using LLM and use the output of those LLMs to send some CURL requests. Can’t find anything on how to add a file dynamically without using a Folder and uploading it before. Any ideas?

Hello Gregor, I had a look at the documentation and it looks like you indeed have to start from the Dust folder. You have to create one manually to serve as placeholder. Then you can push/remove files in it using the API (doc). You then plug your data source to your app. What is the use case that you are exploring? 😊

I want to have a DustApp that I can send a file (PDF) to using API. That file gets processed (Invoice data) and info extracted. Then using that info to create a CURL request to create a Bill in the external system

So you're using a Chat block in your Dust App, using your own LLM API key? I'm not sure if it's possible to include files in Chat blocks requests.

Could you instead:
Have your agent LLM (not the app) process the PDF
Have the app just take in the data and send the curl request (no Chat block in the app)
Instruct the agent to use that app and pass the right data
