Dust Product Update #10: New Features and Enhancements Explained

We're introducing reasoning capabilities to Dust through a thoughtful integration of DeepSeek R1 and OpenAI O1 models as a capability of your existing assistants.

You can now provide feedback on assistant responses and share conversations with builders to help improve the assistant’s performance.

Builders can access feedback stats to monitor assistant quality.

Assistants can now handle more complex requests by processing up to 8 steps (previously 3) to generate an answer, with a maximum of 12 steps for complex requests.

Process and analyze Modjo meeting transcripts, similar to our Gong integration. The integration supports both personal and company-wide transcript synchronization.

Google Meet integration now uses a restricted access scope (we are not asking for full Google Drive permissions anymore), enhancing privacy by only accessing meeting-specific files.

Files shared in Slack threads (images, PDFs, docs, up to 10MB) are now automatically included when summoning @/Dust.

Browser extension v0.0.5 adds conversation feedback, EU region support, and enhanced SSO workspace support.

Conversations are now sorted by last activity for easier access to ongoing discussions.

The conversation interface adapts to different screen sizes, making messages more readable across devices.

Data security is a make-or-break for Dust. The Dust platform is GDPR compliant, SOC2 Type II certified, and now HIPAA compliant, enabling US healthcare companies to process Protected Health Information (PHI) safely.
