Troubleshooting Chrome Extension Issues in Arc Browser
Hey Remi, Thanks for the mesg. I'm noticing the chrome extension isn'y working with my current browser (Arc). Any cues to fix this ? Thanks for the help !
Remi··Hey Pierre-Emmanuel Branger 👋 Arc doesn't currently support side panels - which the extension uses. Unfortunately Dust won't be able to support Arc until they do. (It's a bummer - I am also an Arc user... But the extension is so good that I am considering switching back 😅)
YoiHito··I was also an Arc user but I switched recently to a firefox based browser that is similar (Zen). Are there any plans to support firefox based browsers for the extension?
Daphné··Hi 👋🏻 We're thinking about adding support for both of those browsers but it hasn't been prioritized yet! For Arc it's indeed very annoying that they do not intend to add support for the sidePanel API of Chrome, we would have to develop our own layout which is doable but can't be done super quickly! For Zen, we talked about it last week cause some of us at Dust are experimenting with it and it seem they have something similar to the SidePanel API of Chrome so it could be easier to support it. I'll keep you up to date! 🙏🏻
