Can Two Assistants Collaborate Effectively? Guidance Needed

Hello, Is it possible for 2 assistants to work together? Example: I’ve created a product ops assistant responsible for providing recommendations for my meeting reports, with the task of consulting a second assistant specialising in the Study of patterns of successful companies and products. Should I include this instruction in the first assistant’s guidelines, or should I do it dynamically in the body of the prompt? example : @first-assistant prompt1 @second-assistant prompt1.1 Thanks!

But you can call a first assistant in the conversation and then call your second one. It will use all the context in the convo (incl. documents retrieved) to answer. Don't hesitate to upvote on the feature request and/or tell us more about your use case and why sequencing assistants isn't enough. It will be super helpful for the team to prioritize. Thanks 🙏

in david’s case I completely understand the need to include the launch of ‘sub-assistants’ in the initial assistant, because the mechanics are always the same. However, in my case, where you want to retain a certain amount of flexibility, you can call the secondary assistant or not, depending on the context of the request. it’s really interesting that the assistant called in a second time will use all the context in the convo (incl. documents retrieved) to answer. that meets the need.
