Questions About Snowflake Connection: DUST Role Access and Sync Frequency

Hello everyone! Here are 2 questions about the Snowflake connection. Thx for your help!

  • Why does the DUST role have to be positioned directly on the SNF objects it needs to access? We'd like it to be able to inherit the access control models we use by default.

  • Why does DUST check its rights in SNF every 10 minutes? This represents a modest Cloud Services cost but doesn't seem optimized. Can we change the synchronization frequency in the connector?

    Hi François LE NOUVEL, we're now syncing every hour instead of 10min, the goal was to always have a fresh schema so that your assistants using the Snowflake connection are always up to date! It's not possible to change this setting at the moment.

    We do support inheritance of roles, but we reject if the role have more permission than we allow. We understand it would be more convenient to use your usual roles, but we prefer having the minimal amount of privileges. 🙏🏻
